Happy New Year!
Its January 1, 2019! And you know what that means?!?
Today is the one day of the year that we all assess ourselves.
We take a look back at the old year.
And then analyze what went right and what went wrong so to alter course for the new year ahead. We then ‘resolve’ to do things differently in the coming year. Our New Years resolutions, as we call them, designed to make us a better version of ourselves.
I say phewy to all that nonsense.
Don’t look back. You can’t change what happened. And no amount of analysis of the good or bad antics of 2018 will make 2019 amazing.
What will make 2019 amazing?
You. You will make it amazing!
How? By simply being you. Doing you. Believing in you. Being the best you you can be!
That’s my intention for this year. To believe in me. To be me. Do me. To be the best version of me that I can possibly be.
To be happy - every day. To choose to find happiness in all situations, even the most trying.
To mediate daily. To allow myself 10 minutes every day to slow down and care for myself.
To practice thankfulness. To be grateful for all that I am and all that I have. Everyday. And always, every Thursday here with you.
To stop saying sorry when I really mean something else. Bump into someone accidentally, say excuse me. Late for a meeting, say thank you for patiently waiting for me. Don’t fit the mold you have for me, say too bad.
Let Magic happen. Plan yes. Go with the flow more. For sometimes the best adventures are the unplanned ones.
Live with no regrets. Regrets should be the the things we didn’t do. So go do! Do it all. Eat the cake. Take the trip. Call the friend. Write the blog.
De-clutter. Minimize. Live simply. Choose to surround yourself with what you need. Whether that is stuff, people or thoughts. Keep only what you need. Discard the rest.
And believe. Believe in all that you are. In all that you are capable of. In all that you will be in the coming days.
Believe that 2019 will be your best year yet!
Who would like to join me in a 21-day Thankfulness challenge?!? Starting in January, we kick off the new year with accountability to each other to remind ourselves to be thankful and appreciative of all that we are and all that we have! For 21 days!
Why 21 days? Well, research has shown that habits can be formed in that amount of time!
Why form a thankfulness habit? Because it is a daily habit that can fundamentally shift your thoughts. And as your thoughts go, your feelings flow. And your feelings
Who’s with me?!?! PM me and we’ll get started! I hope y’all join me in this challenge!
