2 Wolves

Updated: Dec 8, 2018

Oh happy day! It’s Mindful Monday!

I know you have been wondering - why has she completely stopped writing about Trumplandia?!?

Admit it! I know it’s true!

Well, here’s the reason....

🐺 The tale of two wolves 🐺

An old Cherokee is teaching his grandson about life. "A fight is going on inside me," he said to the boy. "It is a terrible fight and it is between two wolves.  One is evil – he is anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego."

He continued,

"The other is good – he is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith.

The same fight is going on inside you – and inside every other person, too."

The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather, "Which wolf will win?" His grandfather simply replied, "The one you feed".

Consider that for a moment.

Thoughts create feelings. Feelings create actions. Actions create outcomes.  All this defines your perception of your world. Simple truth.

What you are thinking becomes what you are feeling. What you are feeling becomes the actions you take. Think happy thoughts, and you become happy. Then your world becomes a happy place. And as you travel through your world you radiate that happiness. Think angry thoughts and you become angry. Then your world becomes an angry place when you disseminate anger.

Why did I stop writing about Trumplandia? This is sole the reason. The thoughts and ideas you feed become your world. Lovely thoughts, lovely feelings, lovely world. Simple.

Trumplandias existence is predicated upon the idea that the world needs to be a tumultuous, angry place. Trump creates this so that he dominates the news cycles. He fires up his base on issues and ideas that he controls all the while letting issues and ideas that SHOULD concern Americans slip by without much coverage. The targeted, planned, killing of a WSJ journalist critical of the Saudi regime, is the best example of this. This should have dominated the news cycles. It didn’t. Why? It didn’t fit the Trump narrative needs to fire up and anger his base. So he angered them in another way and shifted the discussion.

The wolf that wins is the one you feed.

I choose love, joy, happiness, peace and all the loveliness that I can be! I choose to create a world based upon those principles. I choose to create that world for myself, bring it here and radiate it! Ray-dee-ate! I choose to follow the signs that lead me to those places - places where there is joy, love and happiness. I chose to believe that we are all, at our core, kind and happy people. And that when the dark comes, and it will come, it has come, the light of joy and love will radiate and consume that darkness.

So I chose to feed the wolf of love, joy and happiness.

Which wolf will you feed?
